In April 2025, Hongyang Micro Motor Co., Ltd. officially broke ground on the construction of its fourth production facility. The new building covers a planned area of approximately 5,000 square meters and is expected to be completed and put into operation in the first half of 2027, marking a significant upgrade to the company's overall manufacturing capacity and delivery capability.

Driven by sustained growth in global demand for micro motors, Hongyang Micro Motor made the strategic decision to expand while its existing three facilities were operating at full capacity. Construction began in April 2025, with foundation work and structural framing already underway and progressing on schedule.

This expansion goes beyond simply adding floor space — it is a key step in the company's five-year strategic roadmap. The new facility has been designed from the outset to accommodate automated production lines, with ceiling heights, load-bearing specifications, and electrical capacity exceeding those of existing buildings, providing ample room for the future installation of high-precision winding machines, automated inspection equipment, and other advanced manufacturing systems.

Three Key Drivers Behind the Expansion

Order volumes consistently exceeding capacity. Over the past two years, Hongyang Micro Motor has seen rapid growth in orders across the smart home appliance, garden tools, power tools, and pump sectors. Existing production capacity has faced periodic strain, making it difficult to fulfill some customers' customized requirements within desired lead times. The new facility will fundamentally resolve this bottleneck.

New product lines require dedicated space. The company plans to establish a high-precision micro motor production line within the new facility, designed to meet the demands of more demanding application environments through tighter cleanliness controls and quality management standards. The new line will operate independently from existing production, improving overall consistency and quality assurance.

Simultaneous automation upgrades. Alongside construction, the company will introduce a new generation of automated assembly and inspection equipment. The goal is to achieve an automation rate of over 70% in core processes upon completion — reducing reliance on manual labor, ensuring greater product consistency, and laying the hardware foundation for future expansion of precision manufacturing certifications.

Construction Timeline

  • April 2025: Official groundbreaking; foundation poured; structural construction commenced
  • Q3 2025: Main structure topped out; exterior facade and roofing works underway
  • H1 2026: Interior fit-out, electrical, plumbing, and power systems installation completed
  • H2 2026: Automated equipment installed and commissioned; new product line in trial production
  • H1 2027: Full completion and acceptance inspection; official mass production launch

The Chairman of Hongyang Micro Motor stated: "This expansion represents the largest infrastructure investment in our company's history, and it is our most direct commitment to our partners — that we have the capacity to grow alongside our customers' businesses and ensure every order is delivered on time and to specification."

For existing customers, the three currently operational facilities will continue running at full capacity throughout the construction period, with no disruption to production schedules or shipments. The company's technical and quality control teams have implemented a detailed isolation plan to ensure that construction activities do not interfere with ongoing manufacturing operations.

Hongyang Micro Motor has long been dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of micro motors, with products exported to Europe, Southeast Asia, North America, and beyond.
